Rector Dr József Sebestyén of the Veszprém Archbishop’s College, together with Dr Ágnes Mészáros, the Rector’s Commissioner for External Relations, welcomed the delegation from Partium Christian University, which on this occasion consisted of Dr Ferenc Szilágyi, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, and Dr Hajnalka Izsák, Secretary of the Partium Institute for Regional Studies.
The meeting focused on the achievements of the comprehensive cooperation agreement signed by the two institutions in 2022. Participants unanimously rated the joint research projects and talent‑nurturing programmes as a success, noting that they have opened numerous new professional opportunities for both students and staff. They also highlighted that student and staff mobilities under Erasmus+ have now become a permanent feature, greatly enhancing international experience.
Concrete steps were formulated to deepen the partnership. The participants stressed that future projects will continue to prioritise active student involvement and hands‑on learning opportunities. The professional discussions were complemented by an informal exchange of views and a tour of the Veszprém Archbishop’s College campus. Both parties expressed confidence that the already fruitful relationship will further energise the educational and research activities of both institutions and contribute to raising the standard of higher education in the region.
