The work entitled “Szussz” offers a lyrical formulation and abstraction of breathing. It is a short film that seeks to draw attention to the importance and existential significance of the act of breathing. The representation of breathing as a fundamental necessity makes it possible to receive and experience the world.
The work is composed of two main components. The first is a so-called base film, which represents the impulses absorbed. It takes the form of a lyrical documentary built upon the technique of associative montage. The second component is an interactive element: a graphic visualization of the viewer’s own breathing.
