The project "Sea of Grief" is based on the stage play featured in Federico García Lorca’s The House of Bernarda Alba. The aim of the publication is not to illustrate the linear narrative of The House of Bernarda Alba, but rather to give typographic form to the collective and internal dramas of grief, oppression, and female fate. The text unfolds in a way that diverges from traditional reading—through sensory and associative means—where the shape, placement, size, and movement of the letters are as expressive as the linguistic content itself. The publication is packaged in a black garbage bag, symbolizing a discarded, suppressed, or concealed narrative thread. In the rural Spanish reality, grief, desire, and aggression have no place in the public sphere—these emotions are destined to be wrapped up and repressed. In this context, the black bag becomes a visual metaphor for concealment and exclusion.
