“Things are not as they used to be…” — Nóra Gagyi

The series establishes a dialogue between the Art Nouveau architectural features of Oradea and the motifs of Hungarian folk art. The folk costume patterns featured in the photographs were created in a traditional workshop where age-old techniques are still practised. This encounter between the past and the present reimagines architectural decorative elements, offering a new perspective on cultural heritage.
