Social work is a profession committed to helping the community. It is suited for those who feel a calling to help people confronted with problems and difficulties, and support the underprivileged, the endangered, and people with special needs. The category of underprivileged would include groups such as: old people with low wages, large families with financial difficulties, the unemployed, people suffering from incurable diseases, orphans or abandoned children, and people with addictions.
Our aim is to train social workers who posses both the theoretical knowledge, and practical skills necessary for this profession. Graduate students can opt for a job within public or ecclesiastical institutions, non-profit organizations, as well as social enterprises. Students will also acquire skills they can make use of in different areas of our society, as well as, in activities that require constant relating to people.
