The members of the jury were delighted to discover those letters and the thoughtful background provided by Dr. Popescu

Dr. Dan Horatiu Popescu’s meticulous edition of Patrick Leigh Fermor and Rudolf Fischer’s correspondence received very positive evaluations for the 2024 SELVA (Society for the Study of Travel Literature of the English-Speaking World) Prize and came second. The members of the jury were delighted to discover those letters and the thoughtful background provided by Dr. Popescu.
