Partium Christian University has welcomed Brian Flinn at the beginning of this week. Our distinguished guest is a Professor in the Art Department, at Central Connecticut State University. On Monday, November 19th, at 4 pm, in Aula Magna, Brian Flinn spoke about Assessment in Art Education in front of the students and professors present. His presentation focused on: the assessment of student art as well as the assessment of other art educators, the evaluation criteria used to analyze student learning, class assessment as well as information regarding students with specific language needs or other learning needs. The formative and summative types of assessment, referred to in Brian Flinn's discourse, are able to measure and demonstrate student achievement and their main purpose is to eliminate, as much as possible, the subjective factor present in any act of evaluation.
